‘What I’m Reading’ Archives
Extraordinary, Ordinary People by Condolezza Rice
I have always been impressed with the intelligence and poise of this woman.
Don’t Tell Your Cousin by Veronica E. Kelley
This is a book about the web of deceit woven by three women, two of them being first cousins and of course a man is involved. The story is an definite page turner with a rather slow start, which reminded me of many other books that I tried to read, but decided to give it more a chance because this is a first novel for the other.
The Chief
After visiting the Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California, I was really interested in the man that would need to collect things of such expense in magnitude. Family Ties by Danielle Steele

The Last Child by John Hart
This is probably the best novel that I have read in quite some time. It was suspenseful, heartwarming, and quite endearing. One of those that you just hate to put down. Well last night I didn't put it down and was up to 3am to read to the end and it was well worth the loss of sleep.
Cannery Row by John Steinbeck
I have always been a fan of Steinbeck, but it is not until my moving to California that his books have new meaning for me. This novel is set in Monterey, California which is about 200 miles north of Los Angeles.
Rick Sammon’s Guide to Digital Photography
This book is one of the best that I have come across and it is very thorough. I am still working through the photography skills part of the book and have really learned some things that has made a difference on how I think when I approach a shot.
