Today I was on the orange line that runs from San Fernando Valley to Hollywood, and there was this older lady that got on the bus. I was going to get up and give her my seat, but the gentleman next to me offered her his seat. When she started to position her self to sit, the bus moved and she was about to fall forward, so I reached out to catch her to keep her from falling. I proceeded to hold on to her until she was seated. She thanked me and just patted my leg with both hand in gratitude.

This is a book about the web of deceit woven by three women, two of them being first cousins and of course a man is involved. The story is an definite page turner with a rather slow start, which reminded me of many other books that I tried to read, but decided to give it more a chance because this is a first novel for the other.

I have been reading a great deal about The Black Panther Party lately and it has quite enlightening.  This all started with my learning about  Assata Shakur who is in exile in Cuba and seeing a documentary on Pete O’Neal , who is in exile in Tanzania, both former party members.

We have to always remember that God loved us first and in deed loves us best. My Uncle Joe Merriweather was ready to go home and drew his last breath on Thursday, March 17th and his body was laid to rest on Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

The parents of Martha Clark McMillian was Wesley and Kizzie Swain Clark.  In the 1870 census they are listed as 25 years old with three children in the household.  There was Amanda 17, William 6, and Betsey 2/12, which is two months old.
